BASF expands antioxidant production

BASF will expand its production of Irganox 110 hindered amine antioxidant for polyurethanes.

The company refuses to give a basic production level before expansion, but indicates that the plan is planned to increase the capacity of 40%.

The material is produced in Jurong Island in Singapore, Kaisten in Switzerland and McIntosh in Alabama, USA.

It is expected that Jurong Island will expand production in 2021 and add a new production line, which will double production.

It is expected that Kiasten will break through the production bottleneck in 2019, adding 30%of the production capacity.

The company claims that it is investing to improve the reliability of MCintosh production in Alabama in the United States.

BASF describes the material as a major antioxidant for polyurethanes and a range of thermoplastics.
