The Shanghai Municipal Economic and Information Technology Commission’s New Materials Office’s research seminar on the development of the polyurethane industry was successfully held at Qiguang Group!

At the beginning of the new year, after Director Lu Yin of the New Materials Division of the Shanghai Municipal Economic and Information Technology Commission led a team of 6 people from the New Materials Division to visit our association on January 21st to investigate and guide the work and learn about the development of the polyurethane industry in our city, on February 25th In the afternoon, Jin Ye, the first-level chief staff member of the New Materials Department of Shanghai Municipal Economic and Information Technology Commission, accompanied by Secretary-General Xu Guoqing and Deputy Secretary-General Zhang Songtao, visited Qiguang Group Company to conduct research activities on our Association’s Additives Professional Committee to learn about our city’s polyurethane Development of the additive industry.

On behalf of the Professional Committee of Additives, Director Zhang Qiming extended a warm welcome to the New Materials Division of the Municipal Economic and Information Technology Commission for coming to guide the work. Jin Ye gave a brief explanation of the purpose of the survey.

At the research meeting, the directors and deputy directors present at the meeting made reports to Jinye based on the development history of their respective units, new product development, etc., and also reviewed the current situation of the polyurethane additives industry and the results of the establishment of the Special Additives Committee. They put forward their own opinions on how to better lead polyurethane additive companies to work together on the technological progress and innovative development of polyurethane additives, promote connections and collaboration among additive production companies, and provide better services for downstream application companies

Jin Ye made a concluding speech after carefully listening to the report and exchanges. He pointed out that there are many types of polyurethane additives, and data sharing is particularly important. Through the big data platform, each other can serve as the data basis for the research and development of some new materials, thereby breaking industry information barriers, optimizing and improving production efficiency, and deeply promoting industrial innovation. The Polyurethane Association should strengthen exchanges with relevant industry associations, help companies seek cross-border cooperation, and do a good job in docking the industrial chain.

Jin Ye affirmed the association’s work in providing special services to member units. He encouraged enterprises to actively strive for various honorary titles from the government, which not only affirmed the work of the enterprise, but also gave priority to the support of government policies. Fine chemical projects with high added value are also welcome to settle in Shanghai.

Deputy Secretary-General Zhang Songtao finally pointed out in his concluding remarks that the New Materials Division of the Economic and Information Technology Committee visited the Association’s Additives Professional Committee for investigation, which reflected the support and concern of the competent authorities for the work of our association. The Special Committee on Additives has just been established. This year, it plans to carry out technical training, technical exchanges and product promotion activities among additive companies, and organize companies to participate in the interfoam foam materials exhibition to be held in Shanghai in June. Through the development of these activities, we will promote inter-enterprise cooperation.�Exchange and cooperate to promote the high-quality development of the polyurethane additives industry, enhance the visibility of the special committee, and better serve additive companies. The association will actively cooperate with the New Materials Department to provide good services in the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta and “carbon peaking and carbon neutrality”
