Why does iron oxide red concrete fade?

Iron oxide red discoloration after concrete solidifies may be due to the following reasons:

1. Alkali is generated during the hydration process of cement concrete, and the PH will be very high, which will corrode the color and cause fading;

2. Cement concrete itself will form an efflorescence phenomenon on the surface, which is generally white. This white color will appear to make the red color “fading”;

3. The later growth of mold, black spots, dust adsorption, etc. on cement concrete will also cause the color to be covered and fade;

4. The long-term effect of ultraviolet rays.

You can use high-quality iron oxide red slurry and mix it with concrete in proportion and then add appropriate additives to form a protective film on the surface to prevent the influence of climate on its color.
