Sealant classification

1. According to the classification of chemical components, it can be divided into rubber type, resin type, oil-based type and natural polymer sealant. This classification method can better predict the characteristics of polymer materials, such as warmth, sealing and adaptability to various media.

Rubber type: This type of sealant is based on rubber. Commonly used rubbers include polysulfide rubber, silicone rubber, polyurethane rubber, chloroprene rubber and butyl rubber.

Resin type: This type of sealant is based on resin. Commonly used resins include epoxy resin, unsaturated polyester resin, phenolic resin, polyacrylic resin, polyvinyl chloride resin, etc.

Oil-based type: This type of sealant is based on oil. Commonly used oils include various vegetable oils such as linseed oil, castor oil and tung oil, as well as animal oils such as fish oil.
