Why is it difficult to use black paste to darken latex paint?

The main pigment raw material for water-based black slurry is carbon black. When mixing latex paint with dark paint, the color is often not black enough. The possible reasons are as follows:
1. The selection of base paint is inappropriate. When darkening the paint, you should use a base paint with low titanium dioxide or no titanium dioxide;
2. The compatibility between latex paint and water-based black slurry is not good;
3. The dark base paint uses fillers with large oil absorption, which affects the color development performance of the color paste;
4. Latex paint contains thickeners with too low gel points, which affects the color development ability of the paint.
5. The pH value shifts and the coating performance is affected.

When darkening paint, if you find that adding carbon black slurry cannot achieve the effect of darkening paint, you can find out the reason according to the above situation. Or when mixing colors, add a small amount of blue pulp and purple pulp appropriately to achieve the effect of deep black latex paint faster.
