Preparation and application background and overview of 5-chloro-2-formylphenylboronic acid

5-Chloro-2-formylphenylboronic acid is an organic intermediate, which can be obtained by oxidizing tri-tert-butylphosphine tetrafluoroborate with 5-chloro-2-methylphenylboronic acid. 5-Chloro-2-formylphenylboronic acid can be used to prepare electron buffer materials or electron transport materials.

Preparation and application of 5-chloro-2-formylbenzeneboronic acid

Add FeCl2 (3.2 mg, 0.025 mmol), 5-chloro-2-methylphenylboronic acid (0.25 mmol), K2S2O8 (68.3 mg, 0.25 mmol), tetra-n-butylammonium bromide ( 40.7 mg, 0.125 mmol), MeCN (1 mL), H2O (1mL), and polymethylhydrogensiloxane (170 μL, 0.7 aminochloropyridine 5 mmol). The reaction mixture was stirred at 80 °C for 12 h under atmospheric pressure. The mixture was cooled to room temperature. Dilute the reaction mixture with 10 mL of brine and use ethyl acetate (3 x 10 mL). The organic phases were combined and concentrated to give crude product. The residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography (petroleum ether/ethyl acetate) to give 5-chloro-2-formylphenylboronic acid.

Preparation and application of 5-chloro-2-formylbenzeneboronic acid

5-Chloro-2-formylphenylboronic acid can be used to prepare electron buffer materials or electron transport materials with the following structure. By using such electron buffer materials or electron transport materials, electron injection is controlled, and the interface characteristics between the light-emitting layer and the electron-injection layer are improved, so an organic electroluminescent device having excellent luminous efficiency can be manufactured.
