How do corns achieve long-lasting styling from curly to sleek hair? -Cosmetic silicone oil manufacturer

IOTA’s new bio-based polymer was recently launched as a bio-based, non-GMO hair styling agent that ranges from superior stiffness to soft styling

Derived from corn, this polymer is a 100% naturally derived hydrolyzed cornstarch available in an easy-to-use powder form. It can be dispersed in aqueous solutions to form clear natural film formers whose performance is comparable to synthetic film formers, with the added advantage of being non-hygroscopic.

Designed for use in all-natural and high-performance traditional hair styling products, application testing has shown styling performance to be equal to or better than polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and other cornstarch fixatives. In leave-in styling applications, the new polymer demonstrates superior performance in moisture repellent, curl retention and frizz prevention compared to other ingredients, even at low concentrations. Compatible with a variety of natural and synthetic hair styling ingredients, MaizeCare polymers can meet the needs of formulators (from gels, waxes, creams and sprays) to deliver innovative textures and customized consumer experiences. Subsequent test results showed that this new bio-based ingredient offers formulators an excellent alternative to natural and traditional hair styling without compromising performance.
